Heather Nagami is the author of Hostile (Chax Press). A Kundiman fellow, her poems have recently appeared in Berkeley Poetry Review, Discover Nikkei, Hawai'i Review, and The Collagist.
Born and raised in Southern California, Heather is fourth generation Japanese American and the grandniece of poet Akira Togawa. She received her M.F.A. in Creative Writing from University of Arizona and her B.A. in Literature with a Creative Writing emphasis at University of California, Santa Cruz. Heather is a Lecturer for UCLA’s Writing Programs.
